Now if we search to find the true meaning of the Thread Topic, we notice the word you (u) in it. What is the biggest emergency YOU have been to...
I was there for the tornado because I was at my aunts home which was on saratoga ave, but I was not there as a part of the Emergency Services seeing that I was only like 10 or 11 at the time.
Sorry if I sound rude, but its 12:15 and I have had a loooonnngggggg stressful day.

biggest lately was on March 9. Fuel tanker carrying 1000 gal of diesel and 4000 gal unleaded gas overturned, ruptured and ignited. Driver got out with minor injuries (still dont know how he did that). We basically protected exposures and watched the show.

Wow, the biggest emergency I've been to. Well 9/11 was a big one LOL but it doesn't count. The next biggest, how about a overturned school bus loaded with prisoners going from the lock up to the courthouse. I guess they all had lawsuit on their mind because we had to board them all. They were all complaining of back and neck injuries. Or a brush fire we had, where we had to stretch about 2 miles of hose, not the biggest fire but it was the biggest pain in the ass call I ever had. I forget the # but there were like 30 something rigs at this job. One of my biggest fires happened at a auto repair shop at about 4 in the morning, 8 people were able to get out 4 didn't make it. It suprised mw that there would be so many people there at 4am, bu tthe taxis of NYC are driven all day, and get repaired at night so.... It was a large warehouse type building, with fire lapping out the doors on arrival. We managed to push it abck and saved the building. But it was the first time i saw roll over, I was glad the ceiling was high. We were using 2 1/2 hose, and I remember as a back up you had to watch the ceiling so when it lit up we would spray the line straight up to cool the air. I was in the engine then, and this job took awhile so we all got a turn on the nozzle. At one time I lost my helmet, but with all the craziness I didn't even notice, there was some nut from Rescue yelling "spray over here, over there yeah good job blah blah blah, hey this kid lost his helmet!" LOL and he slaps it back on my head. I only had a little over a year on and its still the craziest fire I've ever been to.
